Electromechanical trigger – mechanics.

Trigger mechanics and solenoid.
The trigger works without any buttons (like new PARDINI electronic trigger).

Adjustable trigger weight and length (combination of three screws). Trigger position is adjustable too. Trigger shoe is not mounted yet.

Next step – circuit.

TOZ-49 like air pistol

At exhibition in Moscow ATAMAN company (aka BVG) demonstrated air rifles and this air pistol prototype based on famous TOZ-49 revolver (designer - Efim Khaidurov).
Efim Khaidurov examines the prototype personally.
The prototype prepared by Sergey Doroshenko (young student from Moscow) together with ATAMAN company.

In the Facebook album you also can see Mikhail Nestruev. I suppose that Mikhail is a senior consultant there.

Compensator for air pistol

Feinwerkbau C5 CO2 pistol tuning.
I installed following compensator (separator).
This compensator was originally installed on Demyan’s first air pistol prototype. I adapted it for my Feinwerkbau C5 and I made new front sight since original front sight was too high for C5 (Demyan’s air pistol prototype had lower center line of a bore comparing to C5 and higher front sight was needed).
Front sight consists of aluminum stand and stainless steel triangle front sight fixed by M1.4 screw. The hardest thing was bluing of the front sight at home. Perma Blue of course shows no effect on stainless steel. Finally I heated up the front sight and wiped it with Perma Blue (3-4 rounds). Last 2-3 rounds I dropped the hot part in gun oil. These steps helped a little bit.

I also installed new trigger shoe (from Steyr):
How it works:

Gun bluing

As you know TOZ-35 free pistol has sometimes awful crooked front sights and rear sight blades. Blue-black appearance must be restored after the shape and geometry was fixed with a file. Till yesterday I used a workaround – temporary blacking with black marker and/or lighter. This time I decided to try liquid gun blue. Cold bluing.
I wiped all visible parts of the pistol with acetone (front & rear sights, scratches etc) and after all used Perma Blue by Birchwood Casey for bluing. I didn’t polished surfaces with 1000-2000 sandpaper. Only acetone and Perma Blue. And only one round. I am satisfied with results.
Unfortunately I was unable to blue the trigger shoe (not steel?). The rest is ok: trigger guard, screws, rear sight blade, front sight, muzzle, bolt. Looks nice.
Trigger guard before and after bluing.
