Hello Igor, I keep on noticing how those beautiful russian grips have a rounded, smooth surface instead of ridged ones. Is it because ridges are really unnecessary in free pistol once the right bulk to fill the hand and the wrap to hold the hand in place are set? Thanks!

    1. I would say yes. The wrapping part holds (supports) the hand a little bit. I cannot imagine to shoot free pistol without it or without any contact with it. It is additional supporting surface (at least for me).

And the MC55 is a perfect left hand pistol. After you have loaded, you don't need to cock it at once. Just take your position and just before you lift the hand, cock the pistol with the triggerfinger. Btw: the photos above show my pistol :-)
Dima made for us (my wife & me) the grips for:
    LP10, P44, Pardini SP and the MC55.
Klimov, Nestruev and other russian top shooters use grips from Dima.
