.32 S&W First Loads

First test loads and reference load (Geco factory ammo).
Best result till now - Powder Lovex DO32 1,8gr / Bullet ARES .314 100gr / CBC Brass / Magtech primers - about 14,5mm center to center.

Notice: Crimp "A", "B" and "C" - my labels for crimp settings ("A" - more crimped, "C" - less crimped).

  1. are these from a machine rest?

the heartbreak with .32SWL comes from the occasional 'flier' -- 5-shot groups are indicative, 70-shot groups are meaningful.

    1. I do rough selection with 5 shots test. After all I repeat tests only with interesting loads (about 20 shots). 70 shots is too much for me (each test load x 70...).

  2. The last group, looks better group than the factory ammo.

  3. Great job, Igor! By the way have you chronographed your loads? I usually use H&N, but I think trey are too soft, in my Pardini HP32 they form a little lead deposit in the chamber troat, just before the rifling. Have just ordered some Ares .314" EPRX (painted ones), will try them...

    1. Without chronograph.

And I ordered H&N .314 100grain stuff for tests. I have also bought Factory Crimp in Granada during WCH.

Please keep me informed about ARES EPRX. I want to try them too (to avoid barrel leading).
